The infamous Dillon Danis has set the tongues wagging once again with a boisterous claim regarding his fight purse for the Logan Paul fight. Danis will make a return to combat sports after a long hiatus and is set to take on Logan Paul at the Misfits X DAZN: The Prime Card event in Manchester, England. The Danis vs. Paul bout will be the co-main ‘double headliner’ event alongside KSI vs. Tommy Fury on October 14.
In the past, Danis has made similar comments about the remuneration anticipated for his fight against KSI. Unfortunately, Danis pulled out of that fight and couldn’t get his alleged reward. Now, he’s back at it again after making claims about earning more than most UFC fighters, including Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling. On the FullSend Podcast, the internet troll of a fighter asserted this after being questioned about his paycheck.

“It’s a lot bigger… I’m making more than anybody in the UFC besides Izzy [Israel Adesanya], Conor [McGregor], and maybe Islam [Makhachev]. Definitely making more than Volk [Alexander Volkanovski], and all those guys and I haven’t fought in four years.”
The statement was shocking, to say the least, but considering the trend of one-off boxing fights making more than UFC fights, there might be some truth to it.
How much will Dillon Danis make against Logan Paul?
In order to stay true to his claims about making more money than UFC fighters, Danis would have to make seven figures against Paul. On the podcast, Danis specifically mentioned he would earn more than Alexander Volkanovski, therefore, he would earn somewhere in the house of $1.3 million or more, which is what Volkanovski earned against Islam Makhachev at UFC 284.

The fact that professional boxers make more than MMA athletes fighting in the UFC is no secret, but the trend seems to be spilling over to influencer boxing too. Considering the bad blood and the rampant promotions done by Danis in order to sell the fight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Danis walk away with some serious cash.
‘El Jefe’, who is a self-proclaimed savage, has not held back at all in the past few weeks, in terms of promoting the said fight. This is likely to boost the PPV numbers, as more and more people will be keen to see this feud come to fruition. Let’s just hope both fighters show up for the fight.
