UFC President Dana White is an opportune man! And, when one of the richest men in the world comes knocking at the door, only a fool would waste the opportunity. Recently, an online exchange on Twitter led to the prospect of an actual fight between the owner of the micro-blogging site Elon Musk and the Meta owner, Mark Zuckerberg. By the looks of it, Dana White is open to promoting the bout.
So how did the situation come about? Replying to a post on Twitter, Elon Musk added that he would be open to fighting Zuckerberg, who is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Although he is a white belt, the Facebook founder has won a BJJ tournament recently. Despite that, it does not look like Musk is shying away and added his interest in the bout. On top of that, Musk also added that he wants the fight to take place inside the Octagon with Joe Rogan in commentary.
That is where Dana White comes in! During an interview with TMZ, the 53-year-old revealed he was in talks with both Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. While some may overlook it, it also shows how powerful Dana White is! As per White, both Musk and Zuckerberg said that they are “dead serious” about making the bout happen and Dana White would certainly make it happen!
But why would he do so? Dana added, “This would be the fight ever in the history of the world! Bigger than anything that’s ever been done. It’d break all the pay-per-view records. These guys would raise, you know, hundreds and millions of dollars for charity.”

Dana also added that even the non-fight fans would be interested in watching the fight. His statements have certainly come true as many people have offered to train either personality. Controversial social media influencer and former 4-time kickboxing champion Andrew Tate is one such celebrity who wants to be a trainer for Elon Musk as he wants revenge from Mark Zuckerberg for de-platforming him.
Dana White previously spoke out against crossover celebrity fights
UFC President Dana White has made quite a U-turn on his stance on celebrity fights. At the time when Francis Ngannou was still the heavyweight champ of the world, he wanted to participate in the world of boxing with Tyson Fury being a potential opponent. But Dana was strictly against it and added that UFC does not put up celebrity fights. However, he changed his tune completely when Fury wanted to fight the current heavyweight champ, Jon Jones.
Now with his willingness to put on the potential Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg fight, Dana has once again contradicted himself. Although the fight is for charity, it still goes against the rules Dana has set for the company. So what are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know in the comments down below.
