Jon Jones is among those MMA fighters who are renowned for leaving a significant impact on the UFC with their fighting prowess. From holding the record of becoming the youngest UFC champion to carrying the current heavyweight title, he has made his legacy. Fans and other fellow fighters honor his legacy, except for his former friend Colby Covington.
Colby Covington, the former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion, has been keeping a different opinion when it comes to ‘Bones’. It was not long ago when Covington expressed his frustration and concern. He believed he would not be fighting in the UFC 295 event because of Jones.
The event will take place on November 11, 2023, at the Madison Square Garden. Some reports suggested UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic will be headlining the event. And finally, the reports are confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White. White, not only confirmed the main fight card but also revealed that Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will also be fighting for the vacant lightweight title.

Moreover, Covington also received confirmation of his concerns, as he suspected that Jones was planning to kick him off the UFC 295 fight card.
Now it seems like Covington was not lying about it, as he’s not on the fight card, as revealed by the UFC CEO. In a recent conversation with James Lynch, Chaos stated, “Yeah, I know, it’s a shame James… It was going to be one of the biggest pay-per-views of all time. But you know ultimately Jon didn’t want me on there. And I’m not going to say UFC told me that”.
He further added, “You know, I have my source and things happen you know. He hasn’t actually came out and denied the rumors that he might have been on Epstein Island James. So I want answers”.
Not only Covington but even fans want to know why Jones didn’t want him on the fight card. However, the only thing fans can do until Jones’ statement on this is to wait.
Colby Covington will be fighting against Leon Edwards in UFC 296
UFC CEO Dana White has recently confirmed Colby Covington’s next clash at the UFC 296 event in December. As per the reports, UFC 296 will be taking place on December 16, 2023.
After the confirmation that ‘Chaos’ will not be fighting in the UFC 295 event, White has confirmed that current Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards will make his second title defense against Colby Covington. Covington has competed for the welterweight title twice, however against Usman and lost both the bouts.

Covington is excited about his upcoming fight as he asserts in front of James, “I’m gonna fry this fu**ing fish Leon Edwards”. According to him, it will be a hard fight to win for him and Edwards. Moreover, it will be another big pay-per-view main event. Overall, Covington is quite confident about his fighting skills. Who do you think will rule the clash, Colby Covington or Leon Edwards?
