SUMMARY
- UFC CEO Dana White explained how non-problematic LeBron James is if you do not judge someone by their political beliefs.
- White, however, is a hardcore Michael Jordan fan.
Dana White makes sure the political beliefs of a person do not get in the way when he is judging them as a person. The UFC CEO was clear about this when he opened up about Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. White claimed there was nothing bad about James unless you brought in politics and tried to disagree with him over it.
Dana White appeared on The Sage Steele Show recently and discussed several topics with the host, Amercian TV anchor Sage Steele. The pair began the conversation involving James when they touched upon the basketball great Michael Jordan.
Several comparisons between Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James take place these days to single out the all-time great. Everyone has their opinions about it. White and Steele agreed with the fact that Jordan’s “killer instinct” is what sets him apart from Bryant and James. However, White had some great words for the 39-year-old Lakers star.
Dana White is all praise for NBA star LeBron James
White chipped in with his bit about the Jordan vs. James comparison saying, “Michael Jordan and LeBron couldn’t be any more opposite, in my opinion, and I don’t judge anybody by their politics.”
He added that James never gets in trouble. He is a great family guy and unless you do not agree with him politically, you have nothing bad to say about him.
“LeBron is one of these guys that became a massive Superstar overnight you never hear anything bad about LeBron. You might not like his style of play, you might not like his politics, you might not like whatever. Guy’s never in trouble.

He’s obviously, you know, a great father to his kids, he’s obviously [a] great husband to his wife. I mean, there isn’t too many things that you could say about LeBron that are bad unless you just don’t agree with them politically which is ridiculous anyway to judge somebody on their politics,” White said.
Politics aside, James has barely ever been controversial. He enjoys his time on the court as a player and, off it, as White said, he loves to spend time with his family. His love and passion for the game were rewarded when he became the all-time top scorer in the NBA and also hit the 40,000 mark. The Lakers star is still going strong as his team vie for a playoff spot this season.
Dana White has immense respect for LeBron James but he loves Michael Jordan
Although Dana White was all praise for King James, he is a bigger fan of MJ. “I respect him very much I do… Jordan is just my f*cking, I love Jordan,” White said.
In 2023, while promoting Power Slap in an interview with Robbie Fox, White took the MJ vs. James debate into a new territory. However, he still claimed that Jordan would get the better of James in a Power Slap competition.
At that time as well, Dana White claimed he was a big fan of Jordan. On The Sage Steele Show, surprisingly, he opened up about not wanting to meet Jordan. He could not stop explaining how big a fan of Jordan he is but he does not want to meet the former Chicago Bulls star. The UFC CEO believes in the saying that you should not meet people who you idolize.
