The spotlight will be on the former PFL champion at UFC 300. However, it’s not the first time she has been the star of the show. Even outside the MMA world, Kayla Harrison is pretty renowned as a female athlete. And her thrilling appearance in the hit TV show Impractical Jokers just proves her popularity.
What is Impractical Jokers?
Impractical Jokers stars American comedians James Murray, Brian Quinn, Sal Vulcano, and Joe Gatto (who has now left the show). In the show, these four lifelong friends challenge each other to perform absurd and hilarious tasks in public. And oftentimes time these Jokers found themselves in a very tough spot.
And it was Joe Murray who found himself on the receiving end of a brutal beating from Kayla Harrison in The Party Crasher episode.
Kayla Harrison beat up James Murray in a brutal punishment
After losing multiple challenges, James Murray was forced to cause chaos at a cocktail party. Murr was supposed to annoy Kayla Harrison and the only thing he could say to explain his actions was he knew Kayla from college.
Things got ugly when Murr tried to take down the Olympic Gold Medalist leaving everyone at the party confused. Kayla Harrison would then go on to slam James Murray on a table. Things got only worse for Murr as Harrison later dumped him in the swimming pool while he screamed for help.
Kayla Harrison hated her AEW appearance
Kayla Harrison made her AEW debut, representing Dan Lambert’s team, which founded American Top Team (ATT).
American Top Team is home to many UFC legends, including Amanda Nunes, Dustin Poirier, Jorge Masvidal, and the list goes on. Needless to say, after training at ATT for a very long time, Kayla Harrison did not hesitate to support Dan Lambert in his battle against Chris Jericho’s team in AEW. However, she was not too pleased with her AEW experience.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Harrison had some harsh verdicts on her AEW debut. The MMA legend stated, “I want an actual challenge. Going and beating up people who hang out in their mom’s basement is like, cool. I would beat up all the guys on those rosters, like, 100 percent.”
It’s needless to say Kayla Harrison is a superstar, and her addition to the UFC roster will only open up the door for exciting superfights.
During a recent interview with Megan Olivi at UFC 298, Amanda Nunes also teased a UFC return after her retirement. Besides that, Cris Cyborg has also shown interest in making her UFC return for a rematch with Amanda Nunes. So it won’t be surprising to see Kayla Harrison up against the pioneers of women’s MMA following UFC 300.
