The mysterious nature around Rogan’s stature eventually resulted in a full-fledged controversy. Fans actively compare his height with other fighters and celebrities in several photos to reach different conclusions every time. Let’s take a look and find out what is Joe Rogan’s real height.
For reference, the shortest fighter in UFC was flyweight fighter Hector Sandoval with a height of 5 feet 2 inches. Coming at a close second is former flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson with a height of 5 feet 3 inches. Joe appears much taller than Johnson in their photos together and according to IMDB also stands at 5 feet seven inches.
However, according to Joe himself, he happens to be a bit taller. Despite that, he is trolled mercilessly and many claim he lies about his height.
Joe Rogan Was accused of lying about his height
While Joe Rogan is quite used to being trolled on the internet, one person simply took it to the next level. A resident from Los Angeles had the message “Joe Rogan is literally 5 foot 3,” written in the sky. The message was placed by one of Skytypers Pilots, a company that writes messages in the sky.
It was later revealed that Skytypers were paid $17,500 for 10 messages in the sky. The series of messages started with a marriage proposal and finally ended with the person taking a dig at Rogan’s height. Due to the sky message, Rogan had to clear his name and reveal what was his real height.
“I’m short but not that short 5’8,” tweeted Rogan. He later repeated the same information on his podcast with Neil De Grasses Tyson as his guest. Despite the clarification from Joe, many believe the podcast host was lying.
His height is stated as 5 feet 7 inches on IMDB and he also appears to be of the same height as Rose Namajunas in several photos. The former champion is measured at 5 feet 5 inches and many fans pointed out that Joe’s claims were false. Recently, he posed for a photo alongside personalities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and comedian Shane Gillis. It further put doubts into fans’ minds about his height.
Regardless, Rogan’s stature is of very little importance compared to what he has achieved. The podcast host is one of the most famous people on the planet and his height matters very little.
