Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will make his pro boxing debut against Jake Paul on August 28. Though Woodley has achieved tremendous things in the world of MMA there are some concerns for The Chosen One in this fight.
Tyron Woodley is on a 4 fight losing streak in his MMA career and he lost his last two fights in a devastating fashion. And Jake Paul has shown good fundamental boxing skills and impressive KO power in his last pro fights. So fans do worry that Woodley might be the next victim of The Problem Child.
UFC president, Dana White shared his thoughts on this fight and it seemed White is confident that Woodley will knock Jake Paul out. White said that though Woodley is not the same Woodley he was 4 years ago but he would be able to knock out Jake Paul. Nevertheless, White did appreciate the fact that Jake Paul finally took a fight against someone who can actually box. In a recent appearance on Real Quick With Mike Swick podcast, White stated:
“Tyron Woodley has punching power. Obviously, he’s put a lot of dudes to sleep in his career. Tyron Woodley doesn’t look like the Tyron Woodley of the past that was putting everybody to sleep. He hasn’t won a fight in three years. He’s going to be 40 years old. But, I will give it to (Jake Paul). He’s at least stepping in there with a guy who can punch.”
“You tell me when is the last time you saw Woodley look like Woodley, (but) I’d have to go with Woodley by knockout,” White said. “Listen, man. Woodley should knock him out. But, again, the Tyron Woodley that you talk about, that was the champ, isn’t the same f*cking guy he was four years ago.”

Tyron Woodley is still very dangerous for Jake Paul
The last time Dana White picked against Jake Paul it did not work too well for him as Ben Askren got finished within 1 minute. However, Tyron Woodley is a different animal. Despite the fact that his best days are behind him, Woodley should be able to do significantly more damage than any other past opponents of Jake Paul and possibly beat him.

Tyron Woodley has the great equalizer in an overhand right and his boxing skills overall are not bad either. If Woodley can land bombs on arguably the greatest and smartest striker in UFC at the moment and if Woodley can rock Vicente Luque, who has one of the best chins in UFC, then we can expect him to do some serious damage against Jake Paul as well.
