Anthony Joshua took on Robert Helenius at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night. Whilst the fight itself was a spectacular showing from the heavyweight boxers, the major talking point came after the fight. To no one’s surprise, the root of all the drama was none other than Conor McGregor.
Previously, Dillian Whyte was declared illegitimate to fight AJ. As such, Robert Helenius stepped in on short notice to fight Joshua. On the night, Anthony Josua did well to stop Helenius in the seventh round. Despite taking a fair licking himself, the Englishman was able to deal with it and secure the KO victory.
No way Conor Mcgregor called KSI a ‘B*tch’ and Anthony Joshua responded ‘That’s my guy’ 😭pic.twitter.com/GivngFM5Ut

However, a lot of attention was drawn by Conor McGregor on the night. For those unaware, the Irishman’s Forged Stout was a sponsor for Joshua in this fight. Notably, at the end of the fight, the Irishman, alongside Joshua could be seen mouthing off to KSI, allegedly calling him ‘ a b*tch’. However, Joshua is quick to retort saying ‘That’s my guy!’.
During the event, McGregor also got the opportunity to get on the mic where he once again took aim at KSI. “I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here I’ll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want!” For the most part, Conor’s actions may have been surprising to some, since he has worked with KSI in the past.
Conor McGregor used to be friends with KSI
Previously, ahead of Conor’s fight against Eddie Alvarez, KSI and Conor did a collaboration playing UFC 2. During the video, the two seemingly got on pretty well and became friends as well. During the friendly gaming session, KSI and McGregor were all laughs as they played the game. As such, many believed that the two left off on a high note.
Moreover, ahead of KSI’s fight against Dillon Danis earlier this year, it was expected that Conor would support his teammate Danis. However, at the time, the Irishman stated that he wasn’t interested in their little fight and urged the ‘friendly little nerd’ to have fun. Unfortunately, the fight fell through after Danis pulled out, leaving FaZe Temperrr to replace him on short notice. Since then, there hadn’t been any real interaction between the two.
Recently, however, Dillon has signed on the dotted line to fight Logan Paul on the MF x DAZN: The Prime Card. As it turns out, Conor is reportedly interested and has offered to help coach Danis for the fight as well. Naturally, with Logan being an opponent and KSI’s PRIME partner, it has seemingly brought out McGregor’s more aggressive side. Having primarily feuded with Jake Paul, it seems that McGregor is now gunning for KSI.
Unsurprisingly, people have not been pleased with McGregor’s recent public appearances. Admittedly, the Irishman’s embarrassing behavior is slowly turning the fans against him. However, this time around, McGregor’s only saving grace was when he revealed plans to fight Michael Chandler in December. Furthermore, Conor is also gunning for Justin Gaethje’s BMF title and a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz after that.
