Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz and water bottles have continued to remain a perfect match in 2023 as well. Fans are very well aware that the 38-year-old is no stranger to throwing bottles in his infamous altercations. Diaz has thrown them on numerous occasions up until now. The MMA world best remembers the wild ruckus he created at the UFC 202 press conference against Conor McGregor.
Very recently, fans saw Nate Ringside at Misfits Boxing 6. The Stockton native came out to support his longtime training partner Chris Avila in his boxing match. Avila managed to secure a unanimous decision over his opponent, Paul Bamba in the co-main event. Unfortunately, during the middle of the bout, Nate nearly set off a melee when he hurled a water bottle at Chase DeMoor.
Later, play-by-play commentator Todd Grisham announced on the broadcast that the officials had removed Nate from the building. In a similar incident, Nate incited a backstage scuffle in October last year between his and Jake Paul‘s team ahead of Paul’s bout against Anderson Silva.

For fans unaware, Chase DeMoor is an American Football player who has now also taken to professional boxing. For the 26-year-old, this was the second blow of the night. DeMoor fought against YouTuber Stevie Knight earlier on the same card. However, the bout ended up in a DQ as Chase kept punching a knocked-out Knight. This resulted in an in-ring brawl between his and the opponent’s team.
DeMoor also happens to be a reality TV star who has starred in Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle and Perfect Match. While it is still unclear what pushed Diaz to throw a water bottle at DeMoor, witnesses claim Chase was talking smack about Chris Avila whilst being just a few seats behind Diaz.
Nate Diaz is set to face Jake Paul in August
The Stockton native is all set to make his boxing debut against YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul. Paul is coming off his first professional career loss at the hands of Tommy Fury. Whereas, Diaz fought his UFC contract out by competing against Tony Ferguson in a welterweight bout at UFC 279.
The duo will face each other in an eight-round fight at a catchweight 185-pounds. Diaz’s boxing debut will mark his first fight outside the Las Vegas-based promotion in 15 years. The match took some time to materialize, despite the duo going back and forth at each other on social media for a while. Jake had even called out Nate after his decisive victory over Anderson Silva.

After Paul’s last boxing outing, fans predicted an immediate rematch between him and Tommy Fury due to contract clause speculations floating around. However, ‘The Problem Child’ now aims to welcome Nate to the boxing world. The event will take place on August 5 in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center.
