Kelvin Gastelum is set to re-enter the welterweight division on December 2, where he will face off against Sean Brady, a top-15 ranked contender, at an upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Austin, Texas. The card which looks like a complete banger, is slated to be headlined by a lightweight clash between Beneil Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan.
Brady’s last bout was a TKO loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 in October 2022. Unfortunately, he had to pull out of two matchups against Michel Pereira and Jack Della Maddalena due to injury and illness, causing a delay in his comeback.

Before facing that setback, Brady initiated his UFC journey with an impressive streak of five consecutive victories, defeating notable opponents such as Michael Chiesa, Jake Matthews, and Court McGee. The 30-year-old Philadelphia native currently holds the No. 9 ranking in MMA Fighting’s welterweight division worldwide.
Kelvin Gastelum’s most recent bout in the welterweight division dates back to 2016 when he faced Johnny Hendricks. In the last five years, Gastelum has struggled with a record of 2-5 in seven bouts. However, he regained some momentum in April with a notable Fight of the Night triumph against Chris Curtis.

Sean Brady vs. Kelvin Gastelum prediction
Having a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sean Brady possesses some great wrestling skills. At the same time, his opponent Kelvin Gastelum is an elite striker. So, it would be an interesting match-up inside the Octagon and hopefully, the latter does not miss weight.
Brady would like to make a strong comeback after his loss to Belal Muhammad, which is the only loss in his career. Otherwise, his MMA career has been nothing short of phenomenal. He likes to fight with a calculated approach and likes to go the distance with his opponents with regular takedowns.
Gastelum, however, has not had the best time inside the octagon in the recent past. He did manage to pull off a unanimous decision victory against Chris Curtis in April this year. This was his comeback fight as before this one, He fought and lost to Jared Cannonier in April 2021. However, Gastelum boasts a lot of experience inside the octagon and will definitely look to use that against Brady.
