He has also been out of action for over two years; this could be the perfect platform for his return. McGregor has never been short on rivalries and has many options to make the biggest money fight of all time. It includes a trilogy with Nate Diaz, revenge against Dustin Poirier, an anticipated bout against Michael Chandler, or even facing Justin Gaethje for the BMF title.
Another big name looking for a return would be Welterweight Jorge Masvidal. The former UFC fighter has shown interest in making a comeback to the octagon. He might face Nate Diaz for a rematch or Justin Gaethje for the BMF title. Also, a rematch with another retired MMA fighter, Ben Askren, could be a move to garner more attention to the event.

Current Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira is also keen to be part of the event. Moreover, he could be attempting to capture his third belt in the UFC by going up to heavyweight against Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall. Although far-fetched, all these bouts could make the historic event worth the hype and break PPV records for the organization.
