‘Gamebred’ has recently left his fans in raptures on X (Twitter), appearing to call time on his retirement from MMA. His recent tweet seems to make quite a clear claim, saying āunretiredā in his account.
3. Nate Diaz
Back in 2019, Jorge Masvidal claimed the BMF belt against Nate Diaz. The fight was controversially stopped by the doctor after the third round at UFC 244. In the presence of ex-US President Donald Trump and mega-celebrity superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in New York, Masvidal benefited from a third-round TKO after Diaz had a big cut over his right eye.

However, Diaz tried not to respond to the doctor and focus on his fight, while Masvidal expressed his interest in a rematch with the American fighter. Nate Diaz last fought against Tony Fergusson at UFC 279 and claimed his victory in 2022.
2. Conor McGregor
Fans of Conor McGregor have not seen him inside the octagon for a really long time now. The fight between McGregor and Masvidal is a hot topic in the community itself. But ultimately, the ‘Notorious’ went into a series with āThe Diamondā Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264 in 2021.
Following McGregor’s last fight at UFC 264 against āThe Diamondā, he has been sidelined ever since he fractured his tibia and fibula. Since the dream fight gained huge traction in the community, McGregor and Masvidal have been seen having wordy banter in front of the media.
Previously, Conor McGregor shared an open note on social media, claiming that he was the real BMF in the UFC. However, Jorge Masvidal harshly gave back his response in his own way.
@TheNotoriousMMA shut ur mouth you pissing hot midget ur not cleared to fight. Talking about fighters going thru the grind and process. I bet you never say my name you scaredš

Masvidal shared an X (Twitter) post and replied to Conor McGregor about his BMF claims and constant call-outs. He defended both his teammate Dustin Poirier and the new champion Justin Gaethje.
1. Stephen Thompson
Stephen Thompson wrapped up 2023 with a fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 296. However, as per the judges’ score, the first round was in favor of Rakhmonov, and he dominated round two before scoring a submission to the astonishment of the fighters.
Thompson and Masvidal previously fought in a featured welterweight fight at UFC 217 back in 2017, with Thompson winning a wide unanimous decision. After that fight, things changed a bit for Masvidal. He brushed himself off as a knockout MMA fighter, won the ‘BMF’ belt, and challenged Kumaru Usman for the UFC Welterweight title twice. Both fighters have had a handsome struggle.
In the meantime, āWonderboyā thinks the right time has arrived to run it back with ‘Gamebred’. Thompson previously gave a statement saying, āIām ranked one higher than Masvidal and heās a striker. Give me a striker, UFC. Give me somebody that wants to stand there and strike, please! Masvidal would be awesome. Weāve been talking about this for a long timeā.
Jorge Masvidal is currently on a three-fight losing streak, with a lot of pairs of known fighters in his queue. Do let us know in the comments who might be the opponent for Masvidal if he returns to the octagon.
