UFC 298 is just days away as UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski is set to defend his title against Ilia Topuria. The PPV event is set to take place on February 17, 2024, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This will be UFC’s 10th visit to the city. They last visited the Honda Center for UFC 270 in January 2022.
Volkanovski was going to defend his title at UFC 297. However, he needed time to recover after his head-kick KO loss against Islam Makhachev at UFC 294. The co-main event sees former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker take on Paulo Costa. Borrachina has faced several pull-outs recently, the latest being at UFC 294. The Brazilian has not fought in over a year since his win against Luke Rockhold at UFC 278.

Three more fights will feature on the main card. Undefeated Irish fighter Ian Garry will take on Geoff Neal in a welterweight bout. Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo will fight for the second time after coming out of retirement in a bantamweight bout against Merab Dvalishvili. Lastly, a middleweight fight between Anthony Hernandez and Roman Kopylov will also feature on the main card.
