The most-awaited fight for Tim Elliott has finally arrived, as he is set to face Dagestani prospect Muhammad Mokaev at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 21. Mokaev has previously called out Elliott after winning against Cody Durden on UFC Fight Night in London. This flyweight bout will be a stepping stone for both fighters in the UFC rankings.
Tim Elliott is one of the more experienced fighters in the flyweight division and is ranked at number 10. He has fought against several big names in the division like – Brandon Royval, Deiveson Figueiredo, and Demetrious Johnson. His previous fight against Viktor Altamirano in July of this year ended in a decision win for Elliott.
Being a humble fighter, he came out with the truth during the post-fight press conference. Admitting that he did not perform as expected and that it was his coaches and teammates who carried him throughout the fight.

Muhammad Mokaev, on the other hand, is just eager to fight in the octagon and has fought three times in 2022. So far, most of his opponents are from the top 30, and this has raised his confidence, hence the callout for the top 10 fighters. Mokaev last fought Jafel Filho in March 2023 and won the fight with a neck crack submission in the third round. He has won most of his fights via submission.
