MJF faced Samoa Joe at Worlds End in December 2023. The outcome of the match saw Joe defeat MJF to win the AEW World Championship. Following the match, Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Wardlow launched an attack on MJF.

He then attacked Adam Cole and stated that he would be staying in All Elite Wrestling. Thus, marking an end to all the speculations about him going to WWE. Meanwhile, fans wondered why their favorite superstar decided to stay in the Tony Khan-led promotion, and MJF recently shed light on the matter.
