WWE has created some of the most memorable moments over the years, including many championship wins to remember. However, Jinder Mahal is probably on the list for all the wrong reasons. Despite being a hard worker and a larger-than-life human being, WWE fans never loved Jinder Mahal as a wrestler. Due to bad creative choices, poor promo writing, and mediocre rivalries, Jinder Mahal never clicked with the audience. Now, he is done with the company.
However, Jinder Mahal’s reaction is quite the opposite of what you might think. The ex-WWE Champion has only love for the company despite the bad memories and experiences. Fans who once booed him are now showing support for the person that Jinder Mahal is, which is a great achievement.
Despite being the WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal had a mediocre WWE run.
Jinder Mahal had the physique to shine in WWE. Though he wasn’t the best in terms of microphone skills, WWE had the time to polish him. The end result was quite an event as despite being a world champion, fans never took Jinder Mahal seriously. The only memorable incident during Jinder’s WWE run was his rivalry with Randy Orton, where he defeated the Viper. Plus, we all remember the failed cash-in of Money in the Bank by Baron Corbin.
The rest of his run is blurry for the fans as WWE’s creative side failed to make any impact with Jinder and his journey. The “No Hinder Jinder” slogan was at the center of some crazy memes. However, as Jinder Mahal and his team parted ways with WWE, he isn’t taking any harsh memories with him.
Jinder Mahal has no animosity towards WWE.
Despite the bad storylines and creative failures, Jinder Mahal has no hard feelings towards WWE. Though they could have done a better job with Jinder, the Indian-origin wrestler got a platform through them, which is a big deal. Being a WWE Champion and a one-time United States Champion, Jinder Mahal is one of the few wrestlers who got to hold both titles.
“Had a great time in WWE, had a great run…There is no hostility, there is no negative feelings at all with WWE. Very grateful to them, for all the years. So ya, it’s amazing “
Though Jinder was treated as a midcard wrestler most of the time, whenever he got an opportunity, he shined and played the role he was supposed to. Despite everything, Jinder Mahal is just thankful, unlike most wrestlers who leave the company.
Jinder Mahal is hopeful about the upcoming future.
Despite the end of his journey with WWE, Jinder Mahal is quite excited about the future. Especially with the budding indie scene, he will definitely have a strong run outside of WWE. Though AEW’s roster looks stacked and the last thing they need is another ex-WWE guy, he can definitely be a good addition to TNA. Whatever the future holds, Jinder Mahal stated that he is excited about it.
“No, it feels great. I always have a positive outlook on things, on life. I know the future is bright. I get to explore other avenues, business ideas that I have, other stuffs outside wrestling…I am excited. And obviously wrestling, the independent scene is amazing right now. I got some bookings right now, my Callender looks full.”
Fans are backing Jinder Mahal. Outside of the ring, he carries a very positive aura, which fans always appreciate. And now more than ever he will be appreciated.
