The Sky recently took on the Dallas Wings of the Western Conference. Chicago ended up winning the game, marking their fifth win of the season. Angel Reese was the star of the matchup finishing with 16 points and 18 rebounds backed by 19 points from Chennedy Carter and Marina Mabrey. However, one incident which involved a double-dribble on Reese’s end went viral.

The referees turned a blind eye to the violation and the play resulted in the Sky scoring a bucket. Fans caught on to the violation, which has gone viral on social media, and one individual said, “The opponents didn’t even react lol.” Another fan added, “There’s no way, they didn’t see that.” This moment may eventually come to light but Reese is going to be the one facing the inevitable trolling.
Despite the native attention, the Chicago Sky rookie has been making records
Even while she was with the LSU Tigers, Angel Reese received a lot of criticism over her work ethic and attitude in general. Something as simple as trash talk during a game would also trigger an entire fanbase against her. Lately, Reese has been trying to be the voice for WNBA athletes who feel under-appreciated. She claims that everybody deserves equal recognition for uplifting the WNBA recently.

Besides the endless controversies that trail behind her, Reese has been doing remarkable things as a rookie. She recorded seven consecutive double-doubles and is the first rookie ever to do it. Reese has been averaging 12.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. However, the Sky still aren’t finding much success ranking 9th in the league’s standings.
