Draymond Green is considered by many fans to be the defensive anchor for the Golden State Warriors. Despite having extremely talented teammates, there is no denying that Green played an integral role in his team’s success and multiple championships over the last decade.
Green also built quite a notorious reputation for himself as a trash talker, which would make sense especially after he garnered the accolades to back it up. He even went far enough to call out the Sacramento Kings. However, this was well before the Warriors and Kings matched up for an intense first-round playoff series this season.
With that being said, let us take a closer look at what Draymond initially had to say about the Kings and the legitimacy behind his comments.
Draymond Green brutally disrespects the Sacramento Kings
Although all franchises across the league have an ample amount of resources and fans, they are not viewed as the same or without discrimination by NBA players. This would make sense considering that some teams are looked at as title contenders, while others constantly miss the playoffs and are regarded to be bottom tier.
Until this season, the Sacramento Kings would undoubtedly fall under the bottom-tier franchise label. After all, it has been almost two decades since the Kings were even able to make the NBA Playoffs. Therefore, it isn’t really a surprise that Draymond took a shot at them and dismissed what they are capable of doing.

“It’s not a night that I show up and I don’t wanna be a dog. Especially if it’s LeBron coming in, if it’s a Giannis coming in. Cause them the games I live for…It’s the nights that I show up and we playing against the sorry mo****f****** I can’t play…The Kings stink.”
Draymond soon clarified that he could be wrong since the Kings were playing well this season. However, he stuck to his opinion that they were one of the teams that he did not feel deserved his full energy.
In an ironic turn of events, the Kings managed to break their postseason drought and secure the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. They also got into an intense 7 game series against Draymond and the Warriors. Hopefully, that has changed his opinion and his view about the team.
