The world of basketball has been hit with another tragedy. Bronny James is an upcoming star as we are all aware of. But life often hits people with the biggest curveballs, some more oppressive than others. The 18-year-old high school graduate recently suffered from a cardiac arrest during a workout session at USC.
At times, such situations can be life-threatening or in an athlete’s case, career-ending. Take Shareef O’Neal for instance, he faced a similar issue that hindered his ability to play the game. Shareef had to go through surgery to fix an abnormality in his heart. Upon hearing the tragic news, fans have been left unsettled. One fan said, “Terrible news, more than likely career ending too.”
Bronny James was a four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon High School where he competed for quite some time. The athlete blew up during his senior year averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. He also participated Nike Hoop Summit and earned McDonald’s All-American honors. After graduating high school, he was set to make the most important decision of his life. Eventually, he committed to the University of Southern California in May.

However, it turns out that the young baller is out of danger and is headed toward a speedy recovery. There is no more information on what caused the cardiac arrest, however, he is being treated.
