Novak Djokovic is one of the biggest names in the tennis world. The world’s number one player has made a strong case for himself as the greatest on the court. In his endeavors, the Serbian star can come across as arrogant and notorious qualities that are frowned upon by the majority.
In his personal quest for Grand Slam glory, it is very easy to overlook his kinder side. However, no kind act is ever wasted. Just like Djokovic, who displayed his generous side whenever the opportunity arose. We highlight a few such moments that endeared the World champion to his fans.
Offering to share the umbrella with a ballboy
At Roland-Garros, when Novak was playing against Joao Sousa and leading 6-1, 5-2, passing showers halted the match. Djokovic was seen putting on his hoodie and then inviting the ballboy holding his umbrella, to sit with him so he wouldn’t get wet in the rain.
This is awesomeness! Djokovic is a class act.

His class act after winning the Australian Open
After defeating his nemesis Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-2, 6-3, in the final of the Australian Open, Novak was in a generous mood. He gave away his playing racket to a fan who was in Serbian gear. Next, he asked the ballboy if he would like to touch the trophy when he was posing for photos.
When he was leaving the Rod Laver Arena, he stopped to sign autographs for fans who had been waiting for him outside. He also signed his own jacket and gave it away to a fan as he was walking towards Margaret Court Arena.
