Tom Brady is one of the greatest football players of all time. Ever since he hung up his boots, the NFL star has turned to different business ventures. Brady has made several successful investments across different sporting fields recently. This time around though, the former football player has invested in the E1 electric Boat Racing League.
But there is more to this investment, as Brady has managed to rope in tennis legend Rafael Nadal as well. The sweet surprise does not end here. Brady has also snagged soccer star Didier Drogba along with F1 driver Sergio Perez.
The promotional video for the E1 series saw legends from different sports come together in a rather innovative way. These stars were involved in the phone challenge, where they passed on the baton of sorts to the next team owner.

Nadal passed the phone to Brady. The Spanish maestro referred to Tom Brady’s seven legendary NFL victories as he did. Rafa stated, “I am passing the phone to someone with more rings than Saturn.”
Brady seemed excited when he took over the metaphorical baton from Nadal. He challenged the next team owner to beat them, confident that they could not be defeated.
The new and exciting E1 World Championship will make its way into the sporting world in 2024. However, fans are already waiting in eager anticipation, as it is also backed by other legends.
Rafael Nadal is the proud owner of an E1 team
The E1 electric boat racing league is fanning the anticipation among fans by involving different sporting legends. Rafael Nadal is one such player, who is now a team owner. While its inaugural season is yet to glide onto our screens later this year, the excitement around it is palpable.
Nadal is now the proud owner of the team from his hometown Mallorca, Spain. In addition to the league, Nadal will support the Blue Action Program to restore marine ecosystems. This he will do in conjunction with his own foundation, promoting sustainability with the help of sports.
You must surely be wondering what exactly is the E1 championship. UIM E1 World Electric Powerboat Series is a racing championship for electric boats specifically. The league was launched in 2020, not only as a competitive sport but also as a way to promote marine technologies.
The RaceBird was specially manufactured for the league. Venice was the first to develop an E1 racing team. And now Nadal, among others, has a team of his own.
The electric boat racing championship sounds like a fun new venture. With names with Nadal and Brady attached to them, interest among fans is bound to grow and foster.
These are exciting times for Rafa, as he is expanding his portfolio from tennis to other sports. Recently, he was rumored to be the next president of the soccer club Real Madrid. Nadal is currently recovering from injuries and is expected to return in 2024.
