Just before clinching his 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in 2017, Roger Federer teamed up with German, Tommy Haas and Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov to show off his singing skills. The video of them, singing merrily, the Chicago hit, ‘Hard To Say I’m Sorry’ with renowned music producer David Foster was greeted with a kind-hearted snub for the hilarious discordance it created.
Not to be undone by the gentle criticism it received, the trio were back at singing again. It is quite well known to most that Roger is very much a sporty person, both on and off the court, and is not averse to taking up challenges. So, when they were at it again, the amount of improvement it had from the previous video was palpable, receiving an uproar of thunderous proportions from fans.
No seriously, we’re actually starting a boyband: The one handed #BackhandBoys 🎤🎹🎼@GrigorDimitrov @TommyHaas13 @officialdfoster @DjokerNole pic.twitter.com/DtTSu39KIM

Naming themselves, the “one-handed backhand boys”, the reception for the video this time was much better this time around, as there was a video bomb by none other than Novak Djokovic, himself, in his signature style. Djoker gave a sneak peek of his voice as he vented his emotions to sing, ‘I could never let you go…..’
Given the frequency at which they were posting such videos, much was anticipated of them and people started to believe that more videos were on the queue. It was perfect coordination on their part as they sang the chorus and it was a treat, to say the least. Not even a Federer fan could help but give a shout-out to the cameo by Djokovic which had them in splits.
Grigor Dimitrov wishes to reunite with his boyband members Roger Federer and Tommy Haas at Shanghai Masters
Grigor Dimitrov, the youngest member in the boyband has hinted that a reunion with the other members is not completely out of the reckoning. The world no.19, is currently competing at the Shanghai Masters, where he upset Carlos Alcaraz to reach the semi-finals of the event.
Grigor Dimitrov hopes for a reunion with Federer & Haas for their boyband ‘One-Handed Backhand Boys’:
“I don’t know. I just saw Roger, so I guess we’ll chat a little bit about it (smiling). I would love to, honestly, I would love to… I would really love for that one day. I… pic.twitter.com/dD6GHJgFPP

Roger Federer also happened to be present at the ATP 1000 Masters tournament. The 20-time Grand Slam champion, who retired from the sport last year was there to attend a felicitation ceremony. It was to honor him with the first international “Icon Athlete” award.
In the press conference, when Dimitrov was queried whether there were any possibilities of reviving their boyband, he replied that he would love to reunite. He continued, “I don’t know, I just saw Roger, so I guess we’ll chat a little bit about it. I would love to, honestly, I would love to…”. The Bulgarian said, those moments with the boyband were cherished by him and believed that it could be recreated.
Grigor added, “I think, unfortunately, our lives have gone separate ways. I mean, in a way, each in their own…..” But, that has not deterred them from following each other and getting excited about seeing how their lives have been progressing, thus maintaining a good rapport.
