Sergei Demekhine, born on March 30, 1984, is a former Russian tennis player and current tennis coach of his wife, Veronika Kudermetova. He currently resides in Moscow. Along with his tennis profession, Demekhine has also ventured into the world of modeling, working with fashion houses like Armani, Barocco, and & Fitch, showcasing a different facet of his talent
In 2001, Sergei Demekhine turned into a professional player, embarking on his tennis journey. In his playing career, he earned a prize money of $25,848, while achieving 37 wins and 52 losses. Demekhine clinched one ITF title in singles and an impressive eight ITF titles in doubles. He concluded his playing career in 2009 with a ranking high of No. 673 in singles and No. 438 in doubles.
Demekhine then had a remarkable transition into coaching. He worked with former world No. 2 Vera Zvonareva, guiding her to notable achievements, including Wimbledon and US Open finals appearances, and a No. 2 ranking in the world. His partnership with her began in 2010, initially as a hitting partner before he took the role of her coach. After their successful journey together, they parted ways in 2011.

Veronika herself reflects on the early days of their relationship, saying, “At the age of 16, I just liked him… Even when I turned 18 and we started dating I was still ashamed because of the age difference and the fact that he was my coach.” Their long-standing companionship blossomed into marriage in 2017.
