How Eva Lys been on the WTA tour so far
Lys is one of the top-ranked players from Germany on the tour. She was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, but her family moved to Germany when she was two. She is currently the youngest German player in the top 150 rankings. The former world No.112 will aim to break into the top 100 rankings by this season’s end.
The German player played her first professional match in 2016 at Weston, Finland. Lys went on to win the first two matches and lost in the final rounds of the qualifying draw. After losing three consecutive first-round main draw matches, she debuted in the ITF events in 2017. Lys won her first ITF title at Altenkirchen, Germany in 2020.

Lys played the first WTA match in 2022 against Viktorija Golubic at Stuttgart and defeated her in straight sets. On the grand slam stage, Lys debuted in the 2023 Australian Open.
