Daniil Medvedev has continued the tradition of keeping the US Open fans engaged this year. He has reached the quarterfinals of the US Open for the fourth time. Medvedev has been known to have mood swings whenever he plays at the event, and fans will be eager to learn his vibe in the next match. In his latest press conference, the Russian was joyful as he confessed his love for the sport.

Medvedev said at the post-match conference that he watches the US Open through pirated websites. The matches are unavailable on television due to the ongoing dispute between Disney and Charter Spectrum. On August 31, Disney’s channels were pulled from Spectrum TV, owned by Charter Communications. The channels were removed because Disney and Charter couldn’t agree on a new carriage agreement.

The dispute is still going on as fans find it difficult to stream the live matches. There is no sign of negotiation between both parties, as streaming services have been affected. Fans have been resorting to other channels to see the matches. Pirated websites also gain high viewership during these times, and Medvedev joins his fans to watch the matches online.

Fans curious to know where Daniil Medvedev watches the US Open

The US Open is one of the most followed grand slams of the year. The hype for the final major of the season is always worth it. The event starts with celebrities on the court playing tennis and music for the fans. It also ends on a high note. So, no true fan can afford to miss all the action at the US Open. Medvedev is no different fan, as he somehow manages to watch all the matches at the event.

Fans were shocked by his honesty. Medvedev spoke about watching pirated content in his hostel room. The Russian did not know that his comment would bring in many curious questions from the fans. “lmfaooooo share me your link danil,” commented one fan after watching the video. There were lots of fans who could relate to his feelings.

Medvedev will next play his match against fellow countryman Andrey Rublev. The fans will be eager to watch the match as both players are close friends off tour. Rublev is also the godfather of Medvedev’s daughter.

The pair will play for the eighth time against each other as Medvedev leads the battle with five wins. The match will be a blockbuster, and the pirated websites can expect more traffic than usual.
