Spanish tennis sensation Rafael Nadal has had a difficult season. An unfortunate hip injury derailed his career earlier this year, but he is trying to stage a comeback. However, his recent online activity has raised concerns among fans, who are genuinely distraught about it.
Nadal sustained a hip injury during the Australian Open, and he was subsequently forced to withdraw from the tournament. He had to undergo arthroscopic surgery for the injured left hip flexor muscle. This meant that Nadal missed the remaining three Grand Slams, including his favorite, the French Open. He is, however, making a steady recovery, despite the speculations about his imminent return.
Nadal put all his fans’ fears to rest, though, as he shared an update about a comeback. The Spanish maestro is currently preparing to make a comeback at the Australian Open next year. While the tournament is still a few months away, Nadal has been working hard.

Amidst all this, Nadal liked a fan-made video dedicated to himself on Instagram. It is a well-made video, reminiscing about the good times as his performances have not been consistent.
Fans were quick to notice it and have since been very upset about it. One fan found the video to be made in poor taste, while others could not believe that Nadal liked the video.

Rafael Nadal is one of the most decorated players of all time. But he is in the twilight phase of his career, with speculations running wild about how long he can continue or if his body will cope. His performances have suffered, and all the injuries are taking a toll on him.
Rafael Nadal lost his rankings due to injuries
The 22-time Grand Slam champion could not play at the French Open this year due to a hip injury. As a result, he lost 2000 ranking points since he was the defending champion. Consequently, Nadal dropped out of the top 100 for the first time since 2003.
Rafa dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in 18 years when he withdrew from the Australian Open. Since he has not played any more matches this year, his rankings have fallen even further.
At present, Nadal sits in the 244th rank with 245 points. The last match he had won this year was against Jack Draper in the first round of the Australian Open.
Rafael Nadal’s fate now rests on his own body. As of now, there are signs that hint he will make a comeback at the Australian Open and might even compete in the Olympics next year. Only time will tell if his body will go along with his plans or not.
