Novak Djokovic has been on a break since his semifinal loss at the Australian Open this season. So far, he has played in two events, winning seven matches and losing two. Djokovic will be out of the tour for a week and will be resting in the first few weeks of February. He is now spending time with his family and has been traveling with them now.
Djokovic was seen with his family while they were on a vacation in Northeast Italy. The Serbian will be in the South Tyrol province for a few days. It is the first time since 2020 that Djokovic is spending time at South Tyrol. It has been a surprising visit for him as his rival, Jannik Sinner, also resides in South Tyrol. Both players are in Italy and have been with their families since the Australian Open.

Djokovic met with his fans at the Bolzano airport and clicked a few pictures with them. He had spoken about giving peace to his mind before coming back to the tour. Djokovic was expected to play in the Dubai Duty-Free Championships this month but will now be skipping the event. He will not be playing any events this month as fans are waiting for his next match on the tour.
Novak Djokovic extends vacation with tour schedule change
Djokovic will be taking a month-long break from the ATP tour. He had played in Dubai after winning the Australian Open last year. This time, he changed his tour schedule. The word No.1 will be next seen at Indian Wells, which will start on 6th March. He had last played at the event in 2019, losing to Philipp Kohlschreiber in the third round.
The 36-year-old has won the event five times, a record shared with Roger Federer. Djokovic can become the first player to win six titles at Indian Wells. He will be featuring in the main draw of the event for the 14th time after making his debut in 2006. Djokovic had last won the title at Indian Wells in 2016 while beating Milos Raonic in the final.

The 24-time grand slam champion will look to end the streak of seven different winners at Indian Wells since 2016. He has also played doubles at the event in six editions. Djokovic reached the semifinals in 2019 with Fabio Fognini as the pair lost to Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo. This time, it looks like he will be only playing singles and will be looking to win his 99th career title.
