Serena Williams has been keeping herself busy through her business ventures and motherhood. She had become a mother for the second time in August of this year. Since retiring from tennis last year, Serena has been following the current happenings of the tour. After being on tour for 26 years, she still remembers her journeys and her role models while growing up.
The former world No. 1 revealed that her sister, Venus Williams, has always been her role model. Venus is two years older than Serena and is still active on the WTA tour. Both players had been playing the sport since childhood. Serena said, “I did everything Venus did and she was such a great older sister.” The sisters dominated the tour whenever they played together.
Serena was known to copy Venus during childhood. The 41-year-old always wanted to become like her older sister. The sisters have played against each other on the tour. Serena revealed that even during their matches, she would always root for her sister. She said that Venus has been her guiding light since childhood and remains very attached to her. Both of them still spend time together.
