Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams’ husband, recently pushed his social media followers to support women’s sports. After seeing that the Novak Djokovic-Daniil Medvedev summit match received fewer viewers than the US Open Championship match between Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff, he took to X to voice his pride.

SportsTVRatings said that 3.422 million viewers watched the Gauff-Sabalenka match on September 9 for the USA. Compared to 2.321 million for the Djokovic-Medvedev match the following day, the women’s final performed much better. Owner of the women’s football team Angel City FC, Ohanian, tweeted his ideas. “Once more, the free market is heard. Spend money on women’s sports, suggested Ohanian.

Even though tennis has long had the greatest equality between men and women in sports on many levels. Alex Ohanian recognized this great achievement and took to X, formerly Twitter, to congratulate the women’s tennis. He also insisted on an increase in investment in the sport for women. However, there were trolls and critics who opposed Ohanian.

Ohanian pointed out real facts and blasted critics online. He put them down by saying “I can do this all day” as he continued to reply to all the trolls under his post.

I’m all for women’s sports but we should note there was an American in the women’s finals and not the men’s and these are US viewing #s

Women’s sports historically have gotten less attention from the media and television than men’s sports. And, unfortunately, this trend has persisted over time. However, the number of spectators for the US Open match for the championship was nevertheless a big victory for women’s sports. The historic moment also marked the match as the second-most-viewed U.S. Open on television.

Alexis Ohanian has become a lead investor in a women’s soccer team

By making investments in individuals and concepts that others passed over or undervalued, Alexis Ohanian has earned millions of dollars. But it was possibly the most significant no-brainer of his career to invest in Angel City. Ohanian, who is married to one of the greatest female athletes, Serena Williams, knows exactly how much potential in women’s sports.

He discussed how his choice to invest in the team was prompted by his daughter Olympia’s passion for football in a conversation with ‘On her turf’. Ohanian claimed that while watching the US women’s team win the 2019 World Cup along with his daughter and wife Serena Williams, he was inspired to invest in the team.

The American entrepreneur with multiple million dollar fortune frequently supports equality and women’s sports. He has used his platform to highlight how, as compared to male athletes, female athletes frequently experience anomalies in salary, recognition, and chances. He has also appreciated the likes of Andy Murray for supporting women’s tennis.

Yes indeed! I remember Andy Murray correcting this journo about US Open, bc he had discounted Serena & Venus, and other women.https://t.co/BXjP52S2BL

More heroes like Alexis Ohanian are needed in today’s world, especially for women’s sports. In an age where everyone only talks about gender equality, Ohanian is one of the only people whose actions speak louder than words. He has not only been a god-sent for women’s sports. He has also proven to be an intelligent citizen of the world with his steps towards a sustainable environment,
