Spanish tennis star Paula Badosa has been riddled with injuries this year. Badosa has had to pull out of many tournaments as a result of them. While her tennis career has been affected, her love life is thriving with Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas. But it seems, he may have a new competitor.
Paula and Stefanos started dating earlier this year, with the Greek player making it official after Roland-Garros. The duo quickly became the ‘It’ couple of the tennis world, winning hearts with their romantic displays. Their couple’s name is ‘Tsitsidosa’, a portmanteau of Tsitsipas and Badosa.
Now it seems that Stefanos is not the only one enamoured with Paula. The Spaniard recently shared an adorable clip of a young boy declaring his love for Paula.
A young tennis player tells Paula Badosa he loves her:
“Badosa, I love you!”

Stefanos can be seen laughing hysterically in the background, as the young boy repeatedly says I love you to Badosa. She shared the clip on her Instagram story, reciprocating the sentiment, along with a bunch of emojis.
Since this clip gained traction online, fans have been amused by the interaction. The presence of Stefanos did not phase him, and a user joked, “Hope he doesn’t consider him competition” about Tsitsipas. A fan also shared a photo of the boy posing with the couple.
Well I’d hope he doesn’t consider him competition

It was a cute but hilarious interaction, one that all three of them will remember. Paula Badosa has been on the sidelines for a long time, but this will be a lovely memory for the Spaniard.
Paula Badosa was troubled by a spate of injuries this year
This year has not been kind to Paula Badosa when it comes to injuries. She has had to withdraw from tournaments at the very last minute, playing only 11 tours so far.
Badosa missed out on playing at the Australian Open due to a thigh injury she picked up in the Adelaide Open. She was due to play Daria Kasatkina in the semifinal but got a walkover as Paula withdrew.
Paula gave the French Open a miss due to a stress fracture in her lower back. However, she prepared to participate in Wimbledon but retired midway through her second-round match. Her injury at SW19 meant she could not play in the mixed doubles with Tsitsipas either.

Badosa’s injuries did not improve during the North American hard court swing, and she eventually pulled out of the US Open too. She took to Instagram to inform of her decision to retire for this year but will return next year.
Paula Badosa has not given up her dream of playing with her partner Stefanos. She hopes to be able to play alongside him in Australia next year. “I hope to be in Australia in January and to play mixed doubles with Stefanos,” she said (via TennisUpToDate).
Badosa has run into a lot of injuries this year. Hopefully, she will recover in time to make her dream of playing with her boyfriend true. There is much to look forward to.
