It seems Novak Djokovic has a new rival on the tennis court and it is none other than Carlos Alcaraz. The duo has played exceptional tennis any time they locked horns, leaving fans stunned. However, Nick Kyrgios has found himself in the firing line for his ever-changing stance on them, particularly Alcaraz.
Recently, the Aussie star found his name dragged on social media for stating that he has done a lot for tennis. Fans found an opportunity to remind him that Djokovic and Alcaraz have done a lot for the game in recent times.
Tennis fans highlighted how the two have been battling it out for 3 hours to win the Cincinnati Open title. Kyrgios has neither managed to play so consistently nor well enough to grip fans with his skills.
Just remember Novak Djokovic vs Carlos Alcaraz duelling it out for 3 hours the next time Nick Kyrgios comes on twitter to tell us all that he’s good for the game…

Not one to back away from an open challenge, Kyrgios replied that he is leading Netflix’s Break Point, to, “Get tennis back on the map.” Break Point is a Netflix documentary, following tennis players as they go for glory. Kyrgios also stated that he loves both Alcaraz and Djokovic.
They are also good for the game? Haha I never said they weren’t. You are lying to yourself if you think I’m not good for the game….. could give you a few reasons….. leading episodes on Netflix to get tennis back on the map…. Shall I go on? I love Alcaraz and ND ❤️🙏🏽

Kyrgios is a temperamental player on the court. But this trait is not just limited to the game. Nick has made several controversial statements in the past. He had also written off Carlos Alcaraz at this year’s Wimbledon.
A look into when Carlos Alcaraz proved Nick Kyrgios wrong
Nick Kyrgios may have been sidelined due to his injuries, but he has an active social media presence. During the now-concluded Wimbledon, Kyrgios had claimed that the only person who could challenge Novak was Matteo Berrettini.
I think the only person now who honestly can take down or trouble Novak on the grass is Berrettini…. On the grass you need a bomb for some free points. If not you are in trouble.

Kyrgios had practically written off Alcaraz, who was set to take on Berrettini. The Italian was yet to be broken and even Alexander Zverev thought Berrettini would be the threat to Djokovic.
When Alcaraz and Berrettini clashed, the latter won the opening set quite comfortably. Kyrgios took this opportunity to call Alcaraz the “underdog.”
Looks like my insight is credible. Alcaraz is the under dog in this match.

Alcaraz became the first player to break Matteo’s serve in the second set. He repeatedly broke Berrettini’s serves in the next two sets and in the end, won the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. Nick Kyrgios did not tweet about their match again.
Alcaraz has always proved his naysayers wrong. He eventually went on to defeat Djokovic and win his first Wimbledon title this year.
