SUMMARY
- Kongthoranee Sor Sommai will challenge Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE Friday Fights 68.
- Afterward, Kiatmoo9 will Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168 in September.
Two of Thailand’s finest flyweight strikers will throw down at the stacked ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28. ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 faces surging contender Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a non-title flyweight Muay Thai tilt in Asian primetime at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Superlek is fresh from a stirring five-round victory over Japanese kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa earlier this year and, after the memorable battle, the 27-year-old indicated that he would look to other divisions in search of new challenges.

“For me, going up to bantamweight would be a very good thing because I want new challenges in my life,” he said.
“I can still continue in the flyweight division, but going up to bantamweight is something I am very interested in as well.”
It seems that he will be exploring both new weight classes, as well as different rule sets, in 2024.
Superlek Kiatmoo9 to face Kongthoranee Sor Sommai ahead of Haggerty showdown
Superlek Kiatmoo9 has a dream fight against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty looming, but he will have his hands full in the meantime with Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.
Kongthoranee earned himself a full-time berth on the ONE roster with an incredible seven-fight winning streak on the ONE Friday Fights platform.
Along the way, the former two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Champion dispatched some of Thailand’s best in ET TDed99, Gingsanglek, and Jaosuayai. But the biggest win of his run so far came against the now-third ranked flyweight kickboxing contender Taiki Naito.

Superlek is riding a nine-fight winning streak of his own dating back to 2021, during which time he has toppled Takeru, Thai megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon, and Australian multi-discipline contender Danial Williams.
He has reigned over the flyweight kickboxing division since a January 2023 win over Daniel Puertas, while also maintaining his #1 spot in the flyweight Muay Thai divisional.
“The Kicking Machine” will have no time to waste after he faces Kongthoranee, because he goes on to challenge Haggerty for latter’s bantamweight Muay Thai gold at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
