Sunny is not a new name for the fans of professional wrestling and has gained a lot of popularity during the Attitude Era. The WWE Hall of Famer was involved in a brutal car accident which even led to a casualty. This saw Sunny appearing in court several times. During one of her trials in court, she was captured looking extremely fat and obese. It was completely different than her appearance from her early days in WWE which shocked the fans.
Sunny’s early professional Wrestling Career
Sunny started her professional wrestling career journey with Smoky Mountain Wrestling in 1992. She appeared on the promotion after traveling with her then-boyfriend Chris Candido. Sunny accompanied various wrestlers throughout her run in the promotion including Candido and other prominent wrestlers.
She managed and gave numerous backstage interviews during this time before making it big in the WWE. Sunny debuted in the WWF in 1994 appearing alongside her Boyfriend Chris Candido. The duo were collectively called The Bodydonnas in the WWF. She later found a lot of success in the world of Magazines and Glamour around the world.
She managed several wrestlers during her time in the WWF including Chris Candido, Legion of Doom, Farooq, and other legendary superstars. Without a doubt, Sunny was seen everywhere and people would cheer for her a lot during her entrances. She even did a lot of backstage interviews, ring announcements, and commentaries during her time.
Shawn Michaels’ relationship with Sunny
Sunny has an interesting dating background in the world of professional wrestling. Sunny first fell in love when she met Chris Candido in high school. He would go on to become her long-term boyfriend. Sunny was a crucial part of Candido’s wrestling career as his manager. Candido’s untimely death in 2005 brought an end to their 12-year romance.
But Sunny’s romantic history also featured a fascinating period with Shawn Michaels, another legendary wrestler. She dated Michaels for nine months in the late 1990s, even though she was still seeing Candido at the time. Sunny claimed that she and Michaels would surreptitiously saunter around deserted venues, looking for private areas where they could have sensual interactions.

The two were said to have met up frequently and to have had s*xual relations with one other several times a day. Sunny revealed that when Michaels wanted her to move in with him, their romance ended. She was worried that letting go of Candido might drive him to commit suicide.
Sunny’s final days in the world of professional wrestling
The Charismatic Diva of WWE was released from the company in 1998 after proposed allegations of addiction to painkillers. She further ventured through various promotions including WCW and other independent wrestling promotions.
Despite being released from the company, Sunny made several surprise appearances in WWE. She was seen various times in WWE Programming and was finally inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2011. Apart from her career in professional wrestling, Sunny was also involved in a lot of adult industry throughout her career.
Various controversies surrounding Sunny’s life
By 1998 Sunny began to become a bit stale with excessive use of painkillers. After being released from WWE, she was under heavy drug usage during her time in several other wrestling promotions. Over the years, a lot of negativity was spread about the Diva regarding her personal life. She had a lot of legal troubles starting in 2012 when she was arrested five times in a month.
She was jailed for over four months in 2013 after disobeying a protection order. Sytch was arrested three times for DUI in 2015. In addition to breaking the terms of her probation, she committed two more DUIs in 2018, which resulted in an additional seven months behind bars. She was imprisoned twice more in 2019 and 2020 for charges ranging from domestic abuse to another DUI.
In 2022, Sunny was involved in a car crash which left a civilian losing his life. She subsequently even threatened her boyfriend has been acting a lot weird over the years. One can only think of her past self and celebrate her glamorous career. After the deadly crash, Sunny is now sentenced to more than 17 years in prison. Her life has been nothing short of a rollercoaster which is not quite ending as she expected.
