The love that Cristiano Ronaldo shares for boxing and MMA is well known. After the Portuguese’s transfer to Saudi Arabia, the soccer player has been involved in various activities that have taken place in the country.
Recently, Ronaldo posted on his Instagram story about the Battle of the Baddest Event of the Riyadh Season, a yearly event that will take place on October 28 in the heart of Saudi Arabia.

The story posted by Ronaldo was from a press conference in London, which showed Turki Al-Sheikh, head of Riyadh season and also the owner of UD Almeria, pose with Tyson Fury, the current WBC heavyweight champ, and Francis Ngannou, the ex-UFC heavyweight champion. The news of the boxing match comes only two days after NBA legend LeBron James came to visit the country under the “Visit Saudi Arabia” campaign.

Talking about the match, Fury has been the champion since 2020 with 33 wins and no defeats, with his last match coming in December 2022. He is coming up against Ngannou, who has a stellar record of 17 wins in 20 MMA matches, won the UFC Championship in 2021, and was stripped of the title in January 2023 after he left the UFC.
Cristiano Ronaldo attended another boxing match in Saudi Arabia
A few weeks after signing for Al Nassr, the soccer star was spotted in the boxing match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury at Diriyah Arena just outside Riyadh in February on a Sunday night. Ronaldo was seen with his eldest child, Ronaldo Jr.

Cristiano is not new to the world of boxing, as he was seen posing with former UFC champions Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather in an MMA gym. Ronaldo is also acquainted with Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is a huge Real Madrid fan, a club where Ronaldo spent the majority of his career.
The news of Ronaldo attending the match first surfaced when he confirmed these rumors via a text message to Piers Morgan.
Before the match, Tyson Fury said that if his half-brother loses the fight, he will leave him in Saudi Arabia, where he could become Ronaldo’s pal and personal trainer, taking a dig at the soccer star.
It is well known that if someone who is so heavily followed, like Cristiano Ronaldo, takes an interest in things, his fans will likely try to indulge in them too. This is heavy proof, as fan reactions were wild when news broke out that the soccer star would be in attendance during the match.
