Lionel Messi is leaving no stone unturned with a video posted by his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo Messi on social media regarding Leo hitting the Gym and maintaining his fitness. Messi is taking a vacation from soccer at the moment since Inter Miami was unable to make it to the MLS playoffs.
Recent activities by Antonella Roccuzzo demonstrate her passion for maintaining her physical fitness, just like her partner Lionel Messi. Bret Contreras owns the gym known as the Glute Lab, where Roccuzzo and her partner Lionel Messi were recently sighted.

Both Messi and Contreras, who was shown supervising his exercise in the video, were tagged by Antonela in the post. Since Antonella and Messi relocated to Miami earlier this year, Contreras has been her coach. Lionel Messi seems determined to take his new team Inter Miami to the top for the upcoming MLS season.
It remains to be seen how Messi performs in the new MLS season and where will they finish at the end. Inter Miami will be hoping to finish well with reports of them edging closer to reuniting Luis Suarez, the former FC Barcelona star with Lionel Messi for the upcoming MLS season.
Lionel Messi might miss the start of the 2024 MLS season
When Lionel Messi’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired in July 2023, he signed with Inter Miami. Messi has made 14 appearances for the team since joining Miami, tallying 11 goals and dishing out five assists in a sensational debut to his new team.
Inter Miami, however, was unable to complete the season as planned and, just missed out on the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Also, maybe for the first time in his professional career, Messi will have a long break. He recently put a stop to rumors that he might return to Barça on loan this winter, so when he arrives for Miami’s preseason camp, he should be well-rested and ready to go.

With Messi reporting for international duty, it seemed that he may miss the start of the MLS 2024 season. In light of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, questions were raised by the media and management about what would happen if Lionel Messi was forced to join the Argentine national team. However, that is not the case for the start of the MLS season as the qualifiers’ dates are in September and not at the start of the new season.
Although, Messi may miss a huge portion of games for Inter Miami CF in September 2024 which may be a huge blow for the MLS side and their fans. It remains to be seen what happens next with the World Cup winner and his team, Inter Miami CF in the new MLS season commencing in February 2024.
