SUMMARY
- According to various reports Mbappe is moving to Real Madrid by the transfer window of 23-34.
- The French president has set a dinner with Mbappe and the club president.
There has been yet another interesting update in the incessant Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid saga. It is almost expected that Mbappe will be joining Real Madrid. Mbappe has already notified PSG of his decision to leave the club at the end of the season. However, a new report suggests that PSG has finally invoked their last resort to keep their talisman at the club.
According to reports, Kylian Mbappe is expected to have dinner with the French president Emmanuel Macron. Macron has invited the PSG star along with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to Paris’ Elysee Palace. Moreover, the trio will also be joined by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. It has been reported that the purpose of this meeting will be to convince Mbappe to continue his stay at PSG.

However, as reported by the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe’s invitation has nothing to do with his future. The French president has organized a dinner for Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The two will discuss the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and have negotiations regarding the release of hostages and a potential ceasefire.
🚨🇫🇷 Sources close to PSG firmly deny that the Emir of Qatar will make new proposal to convince Kylian Mbappé.

While neither Mbappe nor Nasser Al-Khelaifi is privy to such discussions, the PSG duo have been invited on the wishes of the Emir of Qatar. Furthermore, it is reported that Mbappe has decided to leave the club. This was further confirmed by PSG head coach Luis Enrique when he recently urged the club supporters to get used to the fact that Mbappe will be leaving the club soon.
French president has attempted to influence Kylian Mbappe before
While Emmanuel Macron will not be attempting to influence Kylian Mbappe at the upcoming dinner, he has previously done this. In 2022, Mbappe came dangerously close to leaving PSG and joining Real Madrid. Most fans were expecting it to be a done deal when Macron intervened. During an old interview, Mbappe revealed how his interaction with the French president went.
The PSG forward admitted that he had frequent talks with Macron regarding his future at PSG. He said, “Macron called me and said, ‘I know you want to leave, but I want you to know that you are important for France and I would not like you to leave.” While Macron managed to influence Mbappe’s decision back then, even his intervention couldn’t prevent the French skipper from leaving this time.
La Liga President has no doubts over Kylian Mbappe’s future
Meanwhile, La Liga president Javier Tebas has no doubts about Kylian Mbappe’s future. Tebas has claimed that he’s confident that Real Madrid will sign Mbappe at the end of the season. A few days ago, Tebas admitted that he’s very happy that a player of Mbappe’s stature will be coming to Real Madrid. He even expressed his admiration for Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez.

He also stated he is 99 percent sure that Mbappe will come to Real Madrid. Most recently, Tebas sat down for an interview with the Spanish news outlet El Partidazo de COPE. In the interview, Tebas said that he feels as if Real Madrid has already signed the 25-year-old superstar. However, neither Real Madrid nor Mbappe has officially confirmed the reports.
