The report states that the Qatari Sheikh helmed that he duly met the Red Devils’ asking price of £4.5 billion ($5.70 billion), but the club owned by the Glazers told their respective shareholders that he wasn’t able to do so. He also wanted to recoup the club’s training grounds. Sheikh Jassim was reported to be eyeing a complete rebuild at Manchester United.
However, things didn’t quite reach their conclusion between him and the club’s owners, the Glazers. Also, it was stated in the published reports that his final bid was double the sum of the Red Devils’ market value. Now, with the 64-year-old revealing that he met the club’s asking price, it remains to be seen how United’s hierarchy handles this.
