According to recently surfaced reports, Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has agreed to a move to Manchester United as their final signing of the summer transfer window. The Premier League giants have been following the defensive midfielder since the start of the window after the player showcased great commitment during Morocco’s World Cup 2022 run.

Initially, a loan deal with a value of $10.79 million has been agreed upon for the Moroccan midfielder. However, the deal does include a buyout option for United of around $21.58 million, with further add-ons close to $5.39 million. The transfer window closes this Friday, and this seems like a nice piece of business from Manchester United.

Going by the player’s salary figures at his previous club, the potential salary that Sofiyan Amrabat could earn at United can range from $4.1 million to $4.5 million. The defensive midfielder’s weekly wages could turn out to be close to $88K, with his monthly sum pertaining to around $350K to $360K.
The Premier League side’s manager Erik ten Hag, will be delighted to have Sofyan Amrabat on his team. After the recent midfield troubles of the club, with woeful performances against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspurs, ten Hag could really use some help from his new Moroccan signing.

ACF Fiorentina signed Amrabat in January 2020. His current contract at the club was supposed to end in June 2024. During his time at the club, his primary position was that of a defensive midfielder. Amrabat has been a key player for Fiorentina since joining the club.
His weekly wages at the club were around $38k. When it comes to the player’s annual and monthly salary, they hovered around the figures of $1.96 million, and $163K respectively. As Sofyan Amrabat looks set to Join Manchester United, the salary figures are obviously expected to take a jump.
