A Saudi contingent arrived in London and is looking to make a last-ditch effort to persuade Premier League club Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah. Al-Ittihad are willing to push their offer to $250 million to lure the winger to join Al-Ittihad.

It can be understood that the transfer window in the Saudi market will be closing soon, and this can be seen as an urgent attempt by the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad to add Mohamed Salah to their roster. The club has been pushing to sign the Egyptian since the transfer window opened, but nothing materialized for them. Al-Ittihad’s manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, would know the player’s attributes from his Premier League days.

🚨 A Saudi Arabian delegation arrived in London on Saturday as they make one last push to persuade Liverpool to sell Mo Salah before the Saudi window shuts this week.

Despite Al-Ittihad’s continuous attempts to land the player, Liverpool kept nudging down the interest from the Saudi-based club. Huge amounts of money have been offered to the player and the English club by the Saudi delegation earlier, pertaining to his salary contracts and other transfer fees, but none of the offers seemed to trap the Reds hierarchy.

It can be inferred from the whole saga that Liverpool simply didn’t want to lose one of their major players. Earlier, manager Jurgen Klopp downshaded the news of Salah to Al-Ittihad and inflicted that their star player is not for sale.

The 31-year-old has made a total of three hundred and thirteen appearances for Liverpool. The player has a hundred and ninety goals and eighty-three assists to his name. The Egyptian has the ability to break down a defense while receiving the ball in his right-wing position. The winger combines his speed and skills to get into the final third and finish the chance he created.

The current contract of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool and his potential salary at Al-Ittihad

Salah joined Liverpool in July 2017. His current contract at the club runs until June 2025. At the Reds, the winger earns an annual salary of around $21.9 million. This figure pertains to his latest contract extension. Going by these numbers, his monthly wages hover around the mark of $1.83 million.

If the Egyptian joins the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, he could earn a potential annual salary figure of $159.4 million. At this rate, his monthly wages would touch the mark of $13.28 million. This will be seven times more than what is earned by him at Premier League club Liverpool. Needless to say, this sum will be further boosted by sponsorship deals and other bonuses received by the player.
