PSG has crushed Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Kylian Mbappe as the transfer window reaches its eleventh hour. Mbappe, who’s been PSG’s pet project for a long time, was heavily linked with a move away from the club. While Mbappe didn’t explicitly talk about his future destination, Real Madrid was considered to be his top priority.

Several weeks ago, Kylian Mbappe was informed that he wouldn’t be staying at PSG after next season. The French forward’s mega contract ended in 2024 with an option to extend. However, he announced that he would leave the club next season, which didn’t go down well with PSG. The club remained firm in their stance that they wouldn’t lose Mbappe for free; that is, he could either sign a contract or leave this season.

Kylian Mbappe was even removed from the team and wasn’t present for the pre-season. However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi later announced that, after discussions, Mbappe had been reintegrated with the squad. Most recently, Nasser Al-Khelaifi said, “We have had very good discussions with Kylian, he’s a magnificent player, as a person and as a professional.”

The PSG president further stated that the club also had discussions with the PSG forward’s family. Although he refused to give hints about any new contract, he did insist that Kylian Mbappe remains a part of PSG. This news will be a huge blow to Real Madrid, who have chased Mbappe for a long time. However, whether Kylian Mbappe leaves PSG next season to join the Spanish giants remains to be seen.

Kylian Mbappe fuels Real Madrid rumors with his Instagram post

Despite Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s crushing update for Real Madrid, there are still rumors about Kylian Mbappe’s move to the Spanish capital. The 24-year-old star recently shared a story on his Instagram, which has led to fans believing that the Mbappe-PSG-Real Madrid saga is still not over.

Kylian Mbappe recently shared English rapper Dave’s song, ‘Special’, on his Instagram story. At first glance, the incident seems pretty normal. However, rather interestingly, the song’s first lines are, “I’m a Top Boy, expensive signing like Moisés Caicedo in London.” Mbappe shared the song on his story and added three emoticons- a bomb, two hands closing an agreement, and a flame.

GUYS MBAPPE POSTED A STORY WITH:

“💣🤝🔥” : an agreement, some sort of unexpected bombazo that will most likely blow up the internet

Tiakola responded:

A WHITE heart emoji (🤍): Which can only mean one thing, one specific thing. White = Real Madrid. pic.twitter.com/eE321Ge1T6

In addition to this, French rapper Tiakola, who collaborated with Dave on the song, reposted Mbappe’s story. However, Tiakola did add a white heart emoticon, which is often used by soccer fans to resemble Real Madrid. Although these are only speculation, fans believe Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid remains a strong possibility despite Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s damning words.
