British journalist Piers Morgan has taken yet another dig at Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left United, Morgan has been extremely critical of Ten Hag. Morgan, who’s a huge supporter of Ronaldo, has blamed Ten Hag of forcing the Portuguese’s exit. With Ten Hag’s future currently hanging by a thread, Morgan has continued to rub salt in the United coach’s wounds.
Recent reports suggested that Erik ten Hag has almost lost the United dressing room. Reacting to such reports, Manchester United issued a statement where they announced that they have taken action against such media houses. United further stated that the reason behind them taking action is because the media houses didn’t consult the club before publishing the reports.
In addition to this, it has been reported that media agencies like The Manchester Evening News and three other outlets have been blocked from attending the club’s pre-match press conference before their clash against Chelsea. However, United’s decision didn’t go down well with Piers Morgan. The British journalist slammed the United coach on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
Pathetic. You can pull this stunt when you’re the greatest manager of all time like Sir Alex, but to do it when you’re as bad as Ten Hag and the journalists are accurately reporting how bad you are, is laughable. https://t.co/8FRduUOtnb

He wrote, “Pathetic. Legendary United head coach Sir Alex Ferguson had banned several media houses during his time in charge of the club.
Erik ten Hag believes he has the backing of his players
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has responded to the reports that stated that he has lost the support of his players. Speaking in a press conference, Ten Hag dismissed the reports and stated that they were categorically false.
He said, “I am sure the players are behind me.” He further stated that United’s recent comeback against Fulham, Burnley, and Brentford displayed how strong and resilient the team is currently.

Some reports suggested that Ten Hag didn’t listen to his players. The Dutch coach also rubbished the reports and stated that he always gives his players opportunities to voice their opinions. Lastly, he defended United’s stance to ban media outlets. Ten Hag stated that the media houses went behind the club’s back to publish the reports, which wasn’t the right thing to do.
