Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola was penalized by an English police officer earlier this week. But it was his action afterward that made it to the internet, proving the quick wits that made him the legendary coach that he is.
The Catalan was parking at a non-parking spot. It was pictured that a fine worth $45 was given to him, and Pep took the ticket and kept it back in his car.

The officer on duty who charged Pep Guardiola with the parking ticket requested him for a photo. The Manchester City coach was angry at receiving a fine and had a hilarious reply for the policeman. Pep asked him “Do you want a photo?“, and the officer nodded, saying yes. Pep replied to him, saying, “You will have to pay $45 for a photo,” in a semi-witty note.
It was the perfect Uno reverse card Pep pulled on the officer. The crowd that had gathered around burst into laughter upon hearing Pep’s satirical reply. The office was clueless and finally did not know how to react. The Manchester City manager is one of the best tacticians in the world of soccer, and he has also proven that he is a man of wits. Pep will miss the next two Premier League games due to surgery.
Why will Pep Guardiola miss the next two Premier League games?
The Cityzens coach has enjoyed a perfect start to the Premier League season with two consecutive victories. Earlier, Manchester City also lifted the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla but lost out to Arsenal in the Community Shield. However, it looks like the coach will be absent from the sidelines for the fixtures against Sheffield United and Fulham.
Pep underwent emergency surgery to help deal with “severe pain” that he had been experiencing for “some time”. He flew out to Barcelona to be under the guidance of surgeon Dr. Mireia Illueca, who works at the Barcelona Spine Institute.
Pep Guardiola has today undergone a routine operation on a back problem.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Pep a speedy recovery, and look forward to seeing him back in Manchester soon.

He has been advised to rest for the coming weeks, and he is expected to miss games until after the international break. In his absence, assistant manager Juanma Lillo will oversee the coaching and training of the first team. Juanma is expected to lead City against Sheffield and Fulham and will be eyeing to continue the perfect start to the season.
Juanma, 57, first moved to the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2020, replacing Mikel Arteta as Guardiola’s assistant. He left City for a brief stint in Qatar but returned to the Etihad Stadium this month. It will be interesting to see how he leads City in the absence of Pep Guardiola.
