Premier League giant Liverpool’s star player Mohamed Salah might end up leaving the club in this transfer window. The Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad has continued their pursuit of the Egyptian. With many lucrative offers on the table for Salah by Al Ittihad, Salah looks set to accept an “unbelievable” $240 million offer from Saudi Arabia and end his six-year run at Liverpool.
According to a journalist on X, the money on the table is too much to reject for the club and the player. It is also mentioned that the window closes late in the Saudi market, making this deal more imminent and complex. The source has also indicated that the player might leave Liverpool this week.
The money offered to player AND club is just unbelievable.
The fact that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes 7th of September (as stated at Saudi – FA site – other places says even 20th) makes this also more complicated https://t.co/sjUDhfkX7F

Despite Liverpool’s continued claims that they don’t want to sell their star forward, Al-Ittihad has not given up. The Saudi Pro League club is willing to offer Liverpool a fee in the region of $161 million to $163 million. Al-Ittihad’s manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, knows the player well from his time in the Premier League as the manager of Wolves and then Tottenham Hotspur.
Al-Ittihad have a concrete interest in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.

Al-Ittihad has been targeting Mohamed Salah for a decent time. However, nothing has materialized for them on the deal. This has been primarily due to the Reds not being interested in taking the risk of letting the player go. Besides this, the Merseysiders might not have scouted any other players to replace Salah till now. There is also a question among the fans about whether Salah can be replaced or not.
Mohamed Salah has so far made 308 appearances for Liverpool. The player has bagged 187 goals and 81 assists for the Reds. Out of these appearances 234 have been in the Premier League. The player has 140 goals and 66 assists to his name in the league.
The right winger has 66 outings for Liverpool in the Champions League, scoring 42 goals. He has also assisted 14 goals in the Champions League for the 2019 UCL champions.
Mohamed Salah’s contract at Liverpool and his expected salary at Al-Ittihad
Mohammed Salah’s current contract at Liverpool expires in June 2025. The player has an annual salary of around $23 million. Going by this figure, Salah’s monthly salary accounts for close to $1.91 million, with a weekly wage in the range of $475k to $480k.
If Liverpool’s star player does leave them in this window, the player could earn a potential annual salary of $240 million. However, these are the numbers reached on piling up all the bonuses and commercial side of things that the winger can get at the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

There has been a long-lasting pursuit for Salah’s signing by Saudi club Al-Ittihad till now. It is yet to be seen whether this takes the shape of a deal or goes without any agreement. However, Liverpool will not want to lose the player so close to the transfer window’s closing day.
