The forward Paulo Dybala emerged as the first player from the club to pen a message for the veteran. Paulo reportedly wrote – “Thanks mister! I hope to see you again soon”. Roma’s striker Tammy Abraham stated on one of his socials – “Thank you for everything coach”.

The manager is a kind of personality who wears his heart on his sleeves. Mourinho was surrounded by the AS Roma fans as he geared up to leave the club’s premises after being sacked. The manager from Portugal was quite emotional on leaving the club as a shed of tears were spotted in his eyes. The followers of the Seria A club wanted to see their manager for one last time.

The fans were spotted having their mobile phones in their hand as they waited to click a picture of the 60-year-old. Mourinho got a warm farewell from the club supporters. The fans of AS Roma do know that he has changed the fortunes of the club during his reign there. Seeing him depart the club this way, must have been painful for them.
Jose Mourinho’s record at AS Roma
Mourinho was appointed as the manager of AS Roma in July 2021. During his time as a manager in the Italian league Seria A, he managed the club in a sum of 138 matches. Out of these matches, Jose managed to win 68 clashes. He drew 30 matches and further lost 40 of them in charge of the club.
Under him, the club scored an impressive tally of 215 goals, while conceding 147 goals against them. However, Jose had a below-par 2023-2024 Seria A season with the club so far in Italy. In 20 outings this season so far under him, the club managed to win only eight matches. It resulted in him being sacked by the club’s management.
It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the veteran manager. He has coached some of the biggest clubs in his managerial career. With the rate the soccer managers are getting fired these days, it won’t be a surprise if Mourinho finds himself appointed by another club sooner than expected.
