Lionel Messi recently took a very public dig at PSG in his interview with Migue Granados. Messi, who left PSG back in June this year, talked about the harsh experience during his two-year stint at the club. Over the past few months, Messi has frequently dissed his former club during interviews. However, the Argentine ace had only good things to say about his ex-teammate Kylian Mbappe.
During his recent interview, Lionel Messi revealed how he was unfairly treated at PSG. He further expressed his disappointment in being the only Argentine player to get no recognition from his club after winning the World Cup. However, upon being asked about his relationship with Mbappe, Messi revealed he had no problems with the PSG star.

He said, “My relationship with Mbappe? I was very good with Kylian, we had a very good relationship.” Moreover, Messi even went on to state that he had a good relationship with all of his former teammates. The ex-PSG star only had a problem with the PSG supporters, who frequently jeered and whistled at him. The PSG Ultras had even staged a demonstration earlier this year outside the club premises, demanding Messi’s exit.
The Inter Miami skipper’s statements also disproved the rumors of his fight with PSG midfielder Vitinha. A couple of days ago, a French publication reported that Messi had insulted Vitinha. Vitinha, however, vehemently denied these claims about having any bad blood with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Kylian Mbappe’s past comments on Lionel Messi
Similar to Lionel Messi’s statements, Kylian Mbappe also has only words of admiration for the Argentine skipper. Despite rumors of conflict between the ex-PSG pair after the World Cup 2022 final, Mbappe and Messi enjoyed great chemistry on the pitch.

Following Lionel Messi’s exit from PSG, Kylian Mbappe highlighted how Messi was ill-treated at the club. The French forward also posted a heartfelt wish for Messi on the occasion of the latter’s birthday. Moreover, Mbappe has also hailed Messi as the best player in the world several times in the past. In a video shared by PSG after Messi’s final match for PSG, Mbappe was spotted paying tribute to Messi.

Despite Kylian Mbappe’s initial preference for Cristiano Ronaldo, the PSG forward appears to have shifted his loyalties towards the former FC Barcelona star. Mbape explained how due to his love for Ronaldo, he couldn’t fully appreciate Messi. However, Mbappe admitted that after Messi arrived at PSG, his admiration for the Argentine skipper increased.
