Famous Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed some of the details about the Frenchman’s contract with Real Madrid. While the salary is not that astonishing, it is the signing fee that might shock the soccer world.
Kylian Mbappe will not earn more than Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid
The Italian journalist had earlier declared that the Paris Saint-Germain player would not earn the same amount of salary as Real Madrid had offered him in 2022. Fabrizio Romano believes that the negotiations between Kylian and the Spanish club are progressing well, with an agreement on the salary. According to Fabrizio, Kylian will earn an amount similar to that of some of Real Madrid’s stars, such as Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., etc.
Both the Real Madrid players earn salaries upwards of €20 million ($21.8 million), and the Italian journalist does not believe that Kylian would earn anything more than that. However, the most interesting part of Kylian’s contract with ‘Los Blancos’ is the signing fee.

Real Madrid would have to pay a huge signing fee to Kylian Mbappe who would join their club on a free transfer. This is to reward his commitment to the club, where he rejected interest from numerous clubs.
Fabrizio Romano believes Kylian Mbappe will pocket around €100 million ($109 million) for signing a five-year deal. However, the money will be spread through the five years of his contract and Real Madrid is not paying him the money upfront.
All-in-all, only minute details, such as the player’s image rights, remain to be discussed; otherwise, Kylian Mbappe can be considered as a Real Madrid player. Fabrizio Romano has also revealed that, after informing Paris Saint-Germain of his decision to leave the club, the French captain has not entered into negotiations with any other club except Real Madrid.
Kylian will not force Real Madrid to let him go to the Olympics
The Frenchman had looked very adamant about the fact that he would travel with the French entourage to the Paris Olympics in 2024. Before announcing his decision to leave the club, it was reported that Kylian Mbappe had already told PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his Olympic dreams. The permission to go to the Olympics was also one of the two key conditions that the Frenchman laid out to Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.
But now new rumors from Spain have surfaced that Kylian will not force ‘Los Blancos’ to let him go to Paris for the Olympics. The Olympics do not come under the jurisdiction of FIFA, and therefore Real Madrid has the final say in this matter.

‘Los Blancos’ won’t let their new super-signing skip the pre-season in order to play in the Olympics. The club would like to capitalize on the ticket sales that Kylian might bring during the pre-season. Going to the Olympics also might physically hamper the Frenchman, who will also lead France in the Euros a month before the Olympics.
The Spanish club has announced a total ban on any player who is willing to participate in the summer’s mega event. The France national team would suffer massively if Kylian is omitted from the squad list.
