The Italian Federation FIGC has registered a stern clause. It will prohibit Super League participation for all the Seria A clubs. A failure to comply with this clause would fittingly result in an exclusion from next year’s Seria A competition for the clubs.
So, it can be depicted that if the Italian club Juventus, doesn’t make sure that they had nothing to do with a prospected participation in the Super League, they might land themselves in a huge bit of trouble. Continuous association of their name with the competition could result in their termination from the Seria A 2024-2025 season.
Juventus’ exit from the Super League was reportedly dependent on FC Barcelona and Real Madrid
Earlier reports said that Juventus’ exit from the Super League was pretty much dependent on FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. An official statement by the club stated that they wanted to pull out of the competition. But, it was hinted that they would need the assistance of both Barca and Los Blancos.
A statement by the club expressed – “Juventus announced that it had begun a period of discussion with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona with regards to the proposed decision by Juventus to exit the Super League Project”. The club’s statement further depicted they had “initiated the procedure” to withdraw themselves from the competition.
However, the Seria A club made clear that its exit from the Super League will be considerable “only if authorized by Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and the clubs involved in the Project”. It can be inferred that Juventus have kind of gotten themselves in a tangle.
The club is waiting for the other teams to exit the Super League. It lands them in a precarious position. Especially after the recent clause inserted by the Italian Federation. The club must sort things out quickly to save their Seria A status.
