Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag believes that the loyal fans are standing right behind him as a pillar of support during the club’s current period of crisis. The club has been on a drastic run since the start of the season.
In a recent interview, the Dutch manager stated that he believes that he still has the fans’ support even in this current situation, which gives him the energy to work each day. Ten Hag said, “It gives me more energy to turn this around. The fans are backing us. The fans are behind us, that is what I feel. I am sure these players can be mentally solid”.

However, fans aren’t happy with the manager’s performance this season. Many seem to think that the former Ajax manager is the real reason for Man United’s poor run. Some also pointed out that fans are losing faith in the manager. They even took to social media to place their opinion regarding this.
One fan wrote, “I’m not sure the fans are behind you”. Another fan mocked Ten Hag by saying, “Only a small number of the fans are backing you”. A third fan commented, “United Fans are not backing you, it’s now their routine from the last 10 years”.
Man United has had a really rough start to the season so far. They currently stand in 10th place in the Premier League table with four wins and four defeats. They have to get back to form if they want to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal for the trophy.
Manchester United defeats Brentford in the last minutes of the game as Erik ten Hag calls it the ‘turning point’
Manchester United won the match against Brentford by a scoreline of 2-1. The match was almost out of Man United’s hands as Bees’ Mathias Jensen scored in the 26th minute of the match.
The scoreline was the same until the 93rd minute when Scott McTominay scored the equalizer. The Scottish midfielder changed the whole complexion of the game as he scored the winning goal for United in the 97th minute.
In the post-match interview, Erik ten Hag seemed to be pretty pleased by the way in which his boys turned the game around. He said, “You are relieved in that moment when once again a game that was turning the wrong way for us, we found a turning point. It showed the big character in this team, the resilience, and that we have a plan to keep going and you have to make your own luck. We kept patient and carried on”.

He also added, “I’m really proud of this team, they kept going the whole game. The belief was there. This has to be a turning point but also it has to be a restart because we have to get into higher levels”.
This win seems like a breath of fresh air at the club. They won a match after two straight defeats in the overall competition. Man United would now look to capitalize on this situation and get back on track as soon as possible.
