Jose Mourinho is one of the most iconic managers in the game of soccer. The 60-year-old Portuguese manager has a knack for winning titles, doesn’t matter the stature of the club he manages. The veteran is also known for his witty and sarcastic comments on and off the field during his managerial career.
The Portugal-born Jose Mourinho is currently in charge of the Seria A giants AS Roma. His current managerial contract with the Italian club darts till the middle part of the year 2023. He has so far managed the club in a sum of 126 matches, since joining in July 2021.
The experienced manager has previously managed some of the big clubs like – Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan. As per a recent report, the 60-year-old had something to say about his desire to manage in the Saudi Pro League.
The manager reportedly stated – “I think one day I will join the Saudi Pro League. I think I will go and coach there, yes”. He further asserted – “But that day won’t be tomorrow or after tomorrow”, he inflicted. With these statements, it can be inferred that the veteran does fancy his chances of venturing into the Middle East.

However, fans have reacted to this report by expressing their opinions. One of the fans ironically asserted – “I want money”. Another follower commented – “Jose will be going for the SAUDI MONEY”. A fan wrote – “Going for the bag”.

Another one chipped in and inflicted – “But that day won’t be”. One of the fans expressed – “The money is definitely inducing him”. One follower reacted by writing – “He’s washed”. It can be concluded from the fans’ reactions that they are disappointed by the iconic manager’s will to work in the Saudi League.
Jose Mourinho turned down several offers from the Saudi Pro League
As per an earlier report by ‘GOAL’ the 60-year-old AS Roma manager rejected several offers from the Saudi Pro League. The Saudi clubs that supposedly offered him job roles are reported to be Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal. The report further terms that Jose inflicted that the offers were financially lucrative.
The report says, the manager expressed – “Saudi? Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, yes. But before going to the meeting, I informed the owners (of AS Roma), that I had no intention of accepting (the offers)“. The Portuguese however, stated that he could change his mind regarding it in the near future when asked about it.
With the current report, of the veteran expressing his yearning to manage someday in the Saudi Pro League, it can be thought of that Mourinho might accept an offer from the Middle East in the near future if it suits his priorities. However, AS Roma’s hierarchy would want to hold on to him as long as possible.
