After months of internal investigations, Manchester United have finally reached a conclusion regarding the situation of Mason Greenwood.
Recently, via a public statement, the club confirmed that Mason Greenwood will leave Manchester United with immediate effect following the conclusion of all the internal investigations.

“I was brought up to know that violence or abuse in any relationship is wrong, I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all charges. However, I fully accept I made mistakes in my relationship, and I take my share of responsibility for the situations which led to the social media post.
“I am learning to understand my responsibilities to set a good example as a professional footballer, and I’m focused on the big responsibility of being a father, as well as a good partner.”
The driving force behind the exit of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United
The news comes as a complete shock for soccer fans who were initially expecting Greenwood’s return to Old Trafford.
The club statement said, “Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged. That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for.”
The statement additionally added that all parties, including Mason, recognized the challenges linked to him recommencing his career at Manchester United. As a result, all parties mutually determined that pursuing his career away from Old Trafford would be the optimal course of action. Now, the collaboration with Mason will center on achieving this objective.
As stated last night, implausible major deliberations not taking place about the credibility of the plan Richard Arnold laid out a fortnight ago to restore Greenwood to first team. These @TheAthleticFC stories provide the background.

It is safe enough to say the Manchester United board has taken a complete U-turn following Greenwood’s decision. A few days ago, news emerged that Richard Arnold had informed the senior staff at the club about Greenwood’s impending return.
However, since then, a few fans on social media and a few media personalities haven’t seemed to like the idea of the Englishmen’s return to the club. The Manchester United board faced immense pressure due to the social media backlash, which could be the sole reason behind the board’s decision to alter its stance.
Greenwood extends his gratitude to Manchester United for their unwavering support since he joined at the age of seven, underscoring his lasting connection to the club. Furthermore, he expresses profound appreciation for the consistent support provided by his family and close associates.
